Ruby angel fish is a marine saltwater fish. The ruby angel fish (Plagiogeneion rubiginous), also known as the cosmopolitan ruby fish, red ruby, or ruby rover, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, belonging to the family Emmelichthyid, the rovers, bonnet mouths, and ruby fishes.
This exquisite Ruby angel fish is carved in natural ruby, a pinkish-colored gemstone, which is a variety of the mineral, corundum, (aluminum oxide). Ruby is one of the most popular traditional precious gems and is very durable. Other varieties of gem-quality corundum are called sapphires.
